Queen 02:59
Take it up with the altar, you left me at yours. Take me back to the summer, take me back to your home. Of course I'm frustrated, been over for months; It's all lame excuses and no fucking fun. If I could be anything I wanted to be, If I could see anything through my tv screen, If I could be everything you want me to be, would you want me to be? Would you want me? You need to let go! 'Bout time for meltdown, an elephant's foot burn through the floorboards achieving new lows. One-side relations, queen up from a pawn. Smug misanthropy, & ultimatums. If I could be anything I wanted to be, If I could see anything through my tv screen, If I could be everything you want me to be, would you want me to be? Would you want me? Sometimes, it gets so hard to say no. Sometimes, I just need to have control. I just need to have control. I just need to have control. You need to let go! If I could be anything I wanted to be, If I could see anything through my tv screen, If I could be everything you want me to be, would you want me to be? Would you want me? Sometimes, It gets so hard to say no. Sometimes, I just need to have control. Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger

Throw 04:37
Going through the rounds of saying nothing. You're proving your point by by blowing off mine. Yet here we are a pose and artist; It's so stupid how you've got me drawn out. And I've said this before, But no promises now! You'd say you’re a catch, then who is the throw? Cut it out! Shut it up! Not a moment left undone. I might be scorn when you've won. It's one thing to bail without a warning. You're saying you need space and then your tied down. Dark rings round eyes hold broken noses. (broken knives) The room spins around and makes {and then you get your own} no sound! Cut it out! Shut it up! Not a moment left undone. I might be scorn but who knows?! I'm dying to know where you're at. You cut off the world and turned mine up. Now I'm lost at the sound outside your door. Can't help you move on, you're on your own. But I loved you so much! I know. Go! Cut it out! Shut it up! Not a moment left undone. I might be scorn but you'll never know!! I'm dying to know where you're at. You cut off the world and turned mine up. But I'm lost at the sound, outside your door! Can't help you move on, you're on your own. Cut it out! Shut it up! Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger

Mortal 04:14
Take a moments rest to hear what I might say; this is bigger than both of us. (I'd like to see your proof.) The lion speaks out loud, we'll feel the ground shake now. We are scared of what we are! (But it's all just Natural!) You Crash! (Just throw it all away) You Drown! (and start anew again.) If there is a heaven then clearly there is no hell, Except what's on earth here with ourselves. Cut your tongue out now the mind can't fathom it this is all I've ever known. (All you've ever chose) I've told you at least a thousand times by now I will never stop believing! (and it's time you let it go!) Crash! (Just throw it all away) You Drown! (and start anew again.) If there is a heaven Then clearly there is a hell. Accept what's on earth here with ourselves. Live in the moment, you may not get more than that. Life is a wager, so bet on yourself. Crash! (Just throw it all away) You Drown! (and start anew again.) If there is no heaven then clearly there is no hell. Except what's on Earth here with ourselves! Crash! Drown! -Trent Munsinger & Paul Herman

Blunder 03:50
Here we are, we're having problems now; But we both know this one will be the last. And I know I fucked up. Made it clear as day again. But I don’t need you to stand back here calling me names. A pussy! Fuck-head! Last the man standing in your way. And I know, as you do, that we were not made for the end. And now we have a lot to learn. Trust is not simple as it seems. But you weren't there, and you only want me dead. When I come out! I know by now I don't deserve a single thing. It's your life, it's your time and your body all the same. Faults are sequels; presumed and waiting in the banks. But I'll live these mistakes and lead these regrets to the grave. And now we have a lot to learn. Trust is not simple as it seems. But you weren't there, and you only want me dead. You only want me on your wall. To prove to you and all your friends, That you will never be alone. And now we have a lot to learn. Trust is not simple as it seems, 'cuz you weren't there and you only want me dead. Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger

Billy 03:48
My friend Billy had no else to play with. Kids across the block didn't seem to like him; Called him names, yeah they said he was retarded. Wishing now yeah I hadn't been so naive then. Way back then… Thought it strange when he showed me his favorite light switch. Dad explained and it finally made so much sense. Awhoahaoaoh Wishing now, yeah I had been a better friend then. Wishing now that I would have stood and spoken. Awhoaoaoao Billy got a job; learned a trade, he likes it. All the other kids died in violent car wrecks. Awhoaoaoh Driving drunk just to spend their whole lives wasted. I know it's sick, but really don't feel all that bad. And all I have to say; Who's the retard now? Who's the problem child? Who's the cancer when it comes around? Who's the slow one, when it all comes down?! Awhoaoaoao Awhoaoaoao Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger

Jingo 03:34
So take your place. (You can't define the dream) No one else gets to sing. (so scared of the machine!) With torches and your khaki hoods, (Get out! Get out! Get out!) building walls round bible belts. A traitor's flag. You were never on our team. I'm amazed that you’re a jingoist American, you see; Talk of freedom but you can't deny the fascist underneath. I'm amazed that you’re a jingoist American you see. What's the blind support for if you've become the newest tyranny? Your dull conspiracy. So take your time, (You can't define the dream) You'd hate to misspell snide. (So scared of the machine!) Burned a melting pot of minds. (Get out! Get out! Get out!) Consumed in monolithic pride to compromise; We're not just stars and stripes! I'm amazed that you’re a jingoist American, you see; Ironic oxymoron cuck accuser, trolling Facebook feeds. I'm amazed that you’re a jingoist American you see. What's the blind support for if you've become the newest tyranny? You don't know what it means! I'm amazed that you’re a jingoist American, you see; Talk of freedom but you can't deny the fascist underneath. I'm ashamed that you’re a "patriot" who's one bomb short extreme. What's a revolution if you've become The newest tyranny? You don't know what it means! Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger and Paul Herman

Problem 04:08
So much hatred. So much wasted. So much in the way. So much arriving just too late. So how can you say that there is no god today? It's obvious she came here and took your only son away. We're not so different. We'd live to be protectors. And we'd go to greater lengths (So much wasted, so. much. wasted.) to shirk the truth for faith asserted claims. (We were never meant to protect all the world.) So what will you tell her when you meet at those white gates? She made me this way and she can't bring him back to me. It could have been; Oh man any other way. It could have been any other way. Why couldn't it been; God damn! Any other way!? It should have been any other way! So why can't you say that there is no god today? The problem with evil is… it's all in our heads. Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger and Paul Herman

Chimera 04:23
You've made your case; I'll go pack mine. I can't wait three more years. To sit below your home and wait for one more day. When we could turn back now so proud we broke the guiding glass; and rule the world with one last chance. Just one more shot. So thank you for nothing. I can't have it all. I know by now my race is run. And I've learned, I can't dream too much. We're out of touch and out of time. We're way too smart for our good; too dumb to fix these things. It's nothing new, Just how it goes when time's so short and everything just falls apart. It's all just loaned and borrowed. So how's it going? I'm doing fine. I'm draining out the life before I die. So thank you for nothing. I can't have it all. I know by now my race is run. And I've learned I can't dream too much. We're out of touch and out of time. Woe! So thank you so much. I can't be honest all the time. And I've learned this much, It's up to me to make this right. When we're both old men, at least we'll have some real regret. Until that time comes, our dreams are dead! Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger

Belle 04:13
Dug him in six feet of promise, a plot for yours and mine. A fate of dead investments once you sign the dotted line. I took your lowest offer Now it's no surprise I'm tame. I took your bottom dollar now I have only myself to blame. Empty the vault, because where have you gone? Where have you gone? I’m dying to Make amends. I'm dying to Make ends meet again. My self worth (A death note that's not signed A number (The sum of your last lie. Tied to a home! (Your tied to a stone!) Ya can't break the bank and still leave all the bones. You're caught just like a like a burnt house adorned with love's debris. It took a headless corpse to escape in mystery. Empty the vault Because where have you gone? Where have you gone? I’m dying to make amends. I'm dying to make ends meet again. Where have you gone!? I'm trying to make amends. I'm trying to find evidence Dying to make ends meet again! Where you have been!? Where you have been!? Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger, Paul Herman.

Antidote 03:20
Cut out your loss! Wake up the dead! x3 Cut out your loss, hang up on me. Made up my mind, I can't keep my head on straight. Absorbed with your malaise, pathetic warm decay. I'm sold more lies than I care to despise. Casual. Tuned out. Burn the bridges down! Whoo oooh Whoo oooh Just burn it down! Whoo oooh whoo oooh Make up your mind! Whoo ooh whoo oooh It's funny you ask, I'll pay all my dues and promises. Cut out your loss! Wake up the dead! x3 And now I'm dancing with the young bloods. No sense in getting bitter. Yeah I'm letting go of outcomes and this Disneyland disease. I'm sold more lies. Than I care to despise. Casual. Tuned Out. Purge the venom bite Whoo oooh Whoo oooh Just burn it down! Whoo oooh whoo oooh Make up your mind! Whoo ooh whoo oooh It's not worth the pain. No time for mixed signals or games! Cut out your loss! Wake up the dead! Cut out your loss! Wake up the dead! We can not be friends! We cannot pretend! Cut out your loss! Wake up the dead! Whoo oh whoo! Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger

Dodge 03:51
Have a third eye weighing on my head for some time. Now I know it's all a game we play, and there's nothing that you can do. It just takes so long to get, It just takes so long to get, It just takes so long to get to the end. To get to the end. We'll get to the end. Get to the end. We'll get to the end. I'm trying to get the hell out of dodge. Have a dead heart pumping poison into my lungs. Now I know it's all a ball and chain, And there's nothing that you can do. It just takes so long to get, It just takes so long to get, It just takes so long to get to the end. To get to the end. We'll get to the end. Get to the end. We'll get to the end. I'm trying to get the hell out of dodge. Now I know it all. There's nothing that I can do now except, just turn around and hit the open road. (It just takes so long to get) To move on when the fallout (It just takes so long to get) hits this fucked town! It just take so long to… Now! (Get to the end To get to the end.) We'll get to the end. (Get to the end! We'll get to the end!) We'll get to the end. (Get to the end We'll get to the end) I'm trying to get the fuck outta dodge. Lyrics By: Trent Munsinger

about

Sandwiched between the charming chaos of 90's grunge and the thoughtfulness of 2000's Punk & Emo; You Monster You delivers a buzzed hike of angst and ambition in their first full album release. Chariot is a steep trail of dissolution, regret, paranoia, & depression complimented by head-first guitars and bombastic vocals emerging triumphant from the mire. Powerful encounters on tracks such as "Dodge" and "Throw" deploy rabid hooks and coy indifference to the trappings of despair while songs like "Billy" and "Chimera" grapple with the demons head-on. Riding thematic plots ranging from jealousy to jingo nationalism, each song is uniquely equipped to combat the tropes of the typical stripped down rock outfit. Your ears are in safe hands now.
